BADGERS FC
Our team name, Badgers FC, is inspired by one of the toughest animals in nature: the honey badger. Known for its fearlessness, resilience, and relentless spirit, the honey badger never backs down from a challenge, no matter how big or intimidating.
This symbolizes the journey of the kids in our program. They face difficult obstacles; poverty, instability, and academic struggles, but like the honey badger, they refuse to give up. Through discipline, mentorship, and hard work, they push forward, determined to build a brighter future.
At Badgers FC, we don’t just play soccer: we embody a mindset of strength, perseverance, and the will to overcome any challenge.

The kids in our program face overwhelming challenges: poverty, fatherlessness, and instability at home among other challenges. This often leads to academic struggles and a lack of direction. Without guidance and support, their potential goes unrealized.
The Soccer Project was created to change that. By using soccer as a tool for mentorship, academic accountability, and discipline, we help students build a strong foundation for success. Our goal is to keep them off the streets and inspire them to pursue higher education or meaningful careers.
